Margate is at the center of the Hibiscus Coast and its temperate subtropical climate makes it an ideal holiday destination all year round. One of the many attractions of the KZN South Coast are the number of wonderful golf courses, of which Margate Golf Course features prominently.
The golf course is set on high ground decorated throughout with palm trees, banana trees and other indiginous vegetation. The course is well spaced out with some excellent inland views.
The course is a delight to play with water features and the natural beauty of the course enhancing the pleasure of your round of golf. The course is carefully laid out to cater to golfers of all standards, ensuring a memorable experience regardless of your golfing expertise.
The water features on the golf course have become a big attraction to local bird life, giving a pleasant distraction between golf shots.
The Country Club also boasts a lovely "Halfway House" which serves freshly prepared meals and snacks to prepare you for the second nine.
Visitors are always welcome at Margate Country Club, and you wouldn't go wrong to arrange a game with some of the members, which can be done through the Pro Shop.
Visitors can also be reminded that our 19th Hole is surely the friendliest 19th Hole on the coast.
